How to Start a Virtual Session?
Updated over a week ago

What is a Virtual Session?

A virtual session in Corti Assistant allows you to share a browser tab, enabling the Corti Assistant to stream the audio from that tab into the application. This audio serves as the patient's channel, ensuring that Corti Assistant can process and document the conversation accurately.

How to Start a Virtual Session?

  1. Configure everything as described in How to Start a New Consultation

  2. Chose Virtual as your Type of Interview

  3. Chose the tab your consultation is in to share the audio of this tab. It is crucial to share audio explicitly from a tab rather than the entire browser, as only tab sharing allows for audio transmission.

  4. Start the session. The audio coming from the chosen tab will now be transcribed as Them in the Transcript Tab of Corti Assistant.

Note: Virtual Sessions are only supported in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Browsers like Safari and Firefox do not support tab audio sharing, so we recommend using a compatible browser for the best experience.

Troubleshooting

  • No Audio Detected? Ensure that the Share tab audio option was selected when initiating the share.

  • Session Not Capturing Audio? Restart the share process and confirm that the correct tab is selected.
