Co-Pilot Ambient Documentation Microphones

We understand that tech teams are often relied upon to answer a wide range of questions within an organization. As you roll out Co-Pilot, you may encounter internal inquiries about the recommended microphones or devices for capturing audio during consultations. Since Corti’s speech recognition models are based on emergency service call data, they are already highly adept at handling suboptimal audio. However, while we don’t endorse specific devices, we have seen consistent success with the following options:

Webcam Microphones:

  • Logitech Brio

  • Logitech 9000 Pro

Bluetooth Conference Microphones:

  • Logitech Rally Mic Pod

Specialized Transcription Microphones:

  • Philips SmartMike

Other Options:

Built-in laptop microphones are also excellent.

  • Note: Dictation microphones are directional, meaning they are optimized for a single audio source. These work well for virtual consultations, where there is typically only one speaker. However, they actively cancel out sounds not directly in front of the mic, making them less suitable for recording multiple speakers in the same room.
